Happy Fourth of July! On Independence Day, we celebrate the birth of our nation. We remember the sacrifices of those who have worked hard, fought, or even lost their lives for the freedoms we enjoy. Even as I wrote that last sentence, it was easy for my mind to drift toward cynical thinking about some of our freedoms that are threatened. But, we have so much to be thankful for. If you do nothing else today, take a moment to make a list with your kids of all your blessings.

God bless you all,
